Havana, IL January 24, 2009. It was cold, damp and not a soul in sight. The silence was deafening.

On November 22, 1963, then-President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas. The presidential limousine had just turned onto Elm Street from Houston Street by the Texas School Book Depository. The building today is a Sixth Floor Museum, which contains a fascinating look at the life of John Fitzgerald Kennedy. The sign said, "NO PHOTOS". Yeah, Right!
