This was taken from an 8th grade field trip, September 13, 2009. I love the color and the detail.
I bet you have done this many times as a young child. How many times have you studied a spinning football and thought to yourself, as this child is doing, centripetal force is a force that makes a body follow a curved, as opposed to straight, path; and it is always directed orthogonal to the velocity of the body, toward the instantaneous center of curvature of the path.

After the storm. This photo was taken at 7:40 AM, just moments after the storm. There are 3 very amazing observations about this photograph. 1) The light pole was made of solid concrete and is now in a million pieces. 2) The wind was strong enough to destroy concrete like it was a pretzel. 3) The light is still burning. The globe is NOT broken. The lights in the background are testimony.
